Copyright & music
Last updated: 14 October 2026
Lovy does not sell, host, download or distribute any copyrighted music. Here is exactly how sound works in a Lovy.
1. Lovy's background tones are original
The soft background score in every Lovy is composed live, in the recipient's browser, by Lovy's own software (using the browser's standard Web Audio feature). It uses no recordings, samples, audio files or third-party compositions. This music is created and owned by Lovy.
2. No songs — senders can't add music
Lovy does not include, embed or play any songs, and there is no option for a sender to add one — not as a file and not as a link. The only sound besides Lovy's own generated tones is an optional voice note the sender records themselves.
3. Voice notes, photos and words belong to the sender
Senders may only upload content they have the right to share (see our Terms). We don't allow uploading music or other copyrighted audio files — a Lovy accepts only a short voice recording made by the sender.
4. What customers pay for
The one-time payment is for creating, sealing and privately delivering a personalised digital letter. It is not a payment for music or any third-party content.
5. Reporting a concern
If you believe content in a Lovy infringes your rights, write to lovy.letters [at] gmail.com with the letter's link and details of your work. We review every report and remove infringing content promptly.
